TUKLASAN FOUNDATION INC. a marriage encounter community

"The primary goal of Tuklasan is to promote and propagate the Family Life Apostolate, in line with the objectives and plans of the Marriage Encounter Foundation of the Philippines, focusing on the grassroots level of Philippine society".

 Pagkakaisa... Pagpapahayag... Paglilingkod

Some ten years ago, when I attended that first Marriage Encounter in Angono, Rizal with 12 couples and 5 priests, I never dreamed that from that small group the Encounter apostolate would flourish so abundantly.

Coming down from that hill where Loyola Retreat House stood, we all felt something warm, something inexplicably moving. It was a vision caught; and it had to be shared.

This story of love, then, is an endless one. For as long as there are couples and priests willing to accept that vision of love and, above all, willing to share it, then the Marriage Encounter apostolate will surely flourish in our land and beyond - blessed as we are with the Spirit who is Love, Himself.

                                                                 Rev Jesus V. Fernandez, S.J.

Today, Tuklasan is the largest sector of the MEFP with over twenty series. It has the most number of Marriage Encounter Weekend Seminars and it is continuously growing.

The primary goal of Tuklasan is to promote and propagate the Family Life Apostolate, in line with the objectives and plans of the Marriage Encounter Foundation of the Philippines, focusing on the grassroots level of Philippine society.

Tuklasan also aims to foster the spirit of the marriage encounter and enrichment movement and to promote harmony and cooperation among its members in all matters affecting their common interests and welfare.

Finally, Tuklasan aims to place itself at the service of other lay-mandated organizations and movements and of their local parishes to focus on the family life apostolate.

"Our marriage encounter weekend changed our lives forever... we dealt with issues we hadn't even realized were there.. and we reconnected in amazing ways... we left that weekend more in love than ever before... We'd recommend a Marriage Encounter weekend to anyone... you deserve it!! It will change your life forever... "

"When we went to Marriage Encounter we had a good marriage. What we didn't know were the tools we would receive on our weekend would help us later in our marriage through the stress from years of financial problems. It truly saved our marriage before we needed it to be saved. We really think we wouldn't be together if we hadn't gone to Marriage Encounter when we did. Thank you Marriage Encounter for giving us the tools we would need to have a great marriage for the rest of our lives!"

"Our weekend was life-changing! It took our relationship to a whole new level. Everyone deserves to go on a Marriage Encounter weekend."

"Attending a Marriage Encounter weekend was the best choice we ever made as a married couple. With a small investment (only about P2,000 for us as a couple), we had two nights at a wonderful hotel, ate great food, heard wonderful speakers, had great people to talk with during breaks, etc. But the best part of the weekend was the guided times of sharing that my wife and I had -- we left the weekend knowing each other better and loving each other more than ever before. Find one and attend. Thanks!!!"

"A life changing experience for both of us!"

"Attending this weekend helped to save our marriage. Unusual and unique!"

"We thought we had a good marriage until we went to one of these weekends. We realized there were issues we had never discussed or resolved. Marriage Encounter opened a new door of understanding between us, and we took home communication tools that we will be able to use for the rest of our lives. "

"Attending a Marriage Encounter weekend is like rediscovering the person you fell in love with all over again. Get away. go, come back with a better marriage - we loved it!"

"Marriage Encounter was life changing for my husband and I. It has been several years since we attended our 1st one. We went again and was pleased to see how we had put the principles of Marriage Encounter into action. We would recommend it for any couple no. A good marriage getters gooder and a rough one gets smoother".

"We went to a Marriage Encounter weekend. It was great for us. I recommend that you go. Wow! What it can do for your marriage is amazing".
